Meet Our Pastor ``Heman Rai``

He was born in a 'Hindu' family in eastern city of Nepal called Dharan. Even though he was born in Hindu family, he later gave his life to Christ 1999, decided to follow him for the rest of his life. This decision has not only brought him in this situation to serve mighty God full timely but also he led his almost all family in-laws to Christ. Despite of many hardships financially and materialistically, he happened to go to Middle East to earn money to support his family of four siblings. At first, he thought he just went to Middle East to make money alone but later he acknowledge that God brought him there to serve Him through Church. He served the living God in Qatar for 5 years and another 5 years in Dubai, UAE. He got married to a beautiful girl 'Tina Subba' in 2012 and now together they are serving God in the city full of idols name Kathmandu, central Nepal. He is passionate and experience in reaching, teaching, training and releasing people for His glorious kingdom and its expansion.

Meet Our Pastor ``Vishal Gurung``

He was born and brought in Nagaland, north east India in Hindu family where he used to observe all kinds of rites and rituals of Hindu customs. He also used to attend Sunday school and even fellowship in the Church but only in 2002 he received Christ Jesus as his personal Lord and savior. Ever since, he has been following his footprints and now God brought him in the city of Kathmandu Nepal to serve him through Kathmandu Valley Baptist Church. Despite of all the hardships and lacking, God gave him Martha Chhetri as his beautiful wife in 2013 and again God blessed them with cute baby girl ‘Myra’ in 2015. Together, they’ve been serving God by serving His people and the surroundings. His wife is leading church women fellowship. He, along with his wife, is passionate and competent in serving God by shepherding the flock God bestowed on him.

Our Story

In 2008, April 5, this Church was established not by the human understanding, nor by the intellect of some theologians but by the spirit of the Lord when Missionary Evangelist Mrs. Aleno Peseyie and Mr. Silvanus Bhandari was led and driven by Church planting concept from God. They were newly wedded and convinced and convicted by the scripture to plant Church in Kathmandu valley. They did constant consultation with the Nepal Baptist Church Council and local Regional Baptist Association. Rev. Ratna Rai, NBCC General Secretary (President at present) and other leaders such as Rev. James Rai, Mission Director (General Secretary at present), Ps. Rajendra Malla, Regional President were helped this family to move ahead in Church Planting Ministry in Kathmandud Metropolitan city.  MORE…
